Dr Allen is an internal medicine physician who has worked as a hospitalist for UPMC Pinnacle since 2017. Before starting her residency, she served as director of HIV and Tuberculosis programs for the non profit organization Partners in Health in Haiti. This involved managing those programs for 2 cities in the Central department of Haiti. Her experience there also included leading various quality improvement initiatives for which she received several awards.

Valerie obtained her medical degree from the School of medicine of the State University of Haiti. She completed her residency at the Yale Waterbury internal medicine residency program. She is passionate about lifestyle medicine for disease prevention, financial education and travel.”
